At the time of your appointment, you will be provided with information on the benefits and potential side effects of the prescribed therapy. Your written consent will be obtained.
A trained healthcare professional will insert an intravenous (IV) needle to initiate treatment. Your vital signs will be monitored before, during, and after the infusion. You will be continuously observed throughout treatment for any signs of an adverse reaction.
During Your Appointment
Iron is administered through an IV pump over approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the dose and product used.

Rash or itching
Minor swelling of the hands or feet
Metallic taste or mild nausea

You may be asked to remain on site for 15–30 minutes post-infusion to monitor for delayed reactions.
Most individuals can resume regular activities right away.
Mild fatigue, nausea, or flu-like symptoms may occur within the first 24–48 hours and typically resolve without intervention.
Rare Delayed Reactions
Some clients may experience delayed side effects such as rash, dizziness, or joint pain in the days following the infusion. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your healthcare provider.
