What to Know Before Your Appointment

Prenatal Testing

IV hydration therapy with Ondansetron available with a referral and prescription to help manage severe symptoms of pregnancy related nausea and vomiting.
Prenatal glucose testing. You must have a requisition from a licensed practitioner that is on hand for your appointment. Fasting is not required for this test. Plan to remain sedentary for one hour after consuming the glucose drink fo ensure the most accurate results.
The Fresh Test is a 50g / 75g glucose beverage formulated with organic ingredients that are Kosher, non-gmo and additive free. You can add this on to your Gestational Diabetes Test appointment if you would like this alternative.
The Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) uses the mother's blood sample to screen for common chromosomal conditions such as Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (trisomy 18), & Patau syndrome (trisomy 13). The test can be performed from 10 weeks of pregnancy & offers additional screening for fetal sex, Monosomy X, and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
This screening test provides a risk assessment and is not a diagnostic test. A requisition is required and there is a separate fee from the laboratory.
Administration for obstetrical patients with iron deficiency anemia, provided with a valid referral and prescription.
